Why use an Independent Financial Adviser vs a Restricted Adviser?
Restricted Advisers can only recommend specific products or providers that they have chosen to work with and must clearly explain the nature of these restrictions – they cannot call themselves and IFA (independent financial adviser). This could mean that you will not be given as wide a choice of products as you would with an Independent Adviser who are free to advise from the “whole of market.” This could also have an impact on the final fees and costs that you would have to pay.
