Our financial wellbeing is vital to each and every one of us, it’s something we all work hard to achieve, guard fiercely and like to keep private. I’ve been providing financial advice since 1993 during which time I’ve developed a set of exacting standards. They’re not the standards the FCA demands IFAs provide, and which I see as a minimum, they’re more about how we work, our ‘culture’.

For most people, going to a financial adviser represents quite a leap of faith as the client is putting their financial wellbeing in the hands of a virtual stranger. ‘Trust’ is the essential attribute and that depends on the relationship between client and adviser.
