Newsletter 22 – Spring 2017

Issued: 13 March 2017

pdf_smallThe Spring 2017 issue of our newsletter has been published and we very much hope that it helps keep you up to date with financially-related matters. Read the Spring 2017 newsletter here.

There’s certainly a lot happening in the economy at the moment. Budget 2017 was met with a chorus of disapproval over the hike in National Insurance contributions for the self-employed; ‘Mrs M’ should get approval to trigger Article 50 within the next few days and the end of the current tax year is just round the corner. Interesting times, but uncertain ones too. What lies ahead? Are the markets settling? Can we expect stability? Who knows, but if we learnt anything last year it was, probably, to be wary of poll predictions and economic experts!

With the end of the tax year only a few weeks away our latest newsletter carries an eclectic mixture of articles to help you review your financial goals, think (again) about your retirement income and pension schemes, decide about personal insurance and get to grips with ISAs:

  • Five ‘top tips’ to help you review your financial goals
  • How ‘alternative thinking’ could have a positive effect on your retirement income
  • What changes to the Money Purchase Annual Allowance (MPAA) may mean
  • Why the cost of a child means you should have personal insurance
  • The dilemma facing six million workers who need help with pension transfers
  • A look at the bewildering variety of ISAs that are competing for our attention

We hope you find the newsletter interesting and the articles give you food for thought. If you would like more information about any of the topics mentioned please call us and we’ll be delighted to help.
